Mountain Sage Aran Weight – New River Gorge. Soft sage green with cream — the silvery-green of rhododendron leaves in the New River Gorge understory. The color of plants that thrive in dappled shade beneath the canopy: soft sage tones with natural cream variation, gentle and complex. Not bright, not muted — the specific quiet green of filtered light.
Naturally dyed with indigo and farm-grown goldenrod in combination. The goldenrod gives a warm yellow-green base; the indigo pushes it cooler and bluer toward sage. Part of our New River Gorge collection.
Dye note: Goldenrod base plus indigo overdye gives a range of sage-green tones. The interaction of our dye sources gives Mountain Sage its characteristic variation — warm and cool areas within each skein. Indigo is pH-sensitive; pH-neutral wash recommended.
This is a tonal colorway — each skein moves through natural variations within the color range as the dye responds to each fiber. Colors may vary from images online. Pre-wash in cold water by hand before use, as natural dyes may release excess color during the first several washes. Lay flat to dry out of direct sunlight.
