Warm teal-turquoise — the specific color of the Gulf of Mexico off Tampa, Florida. Naturally dyed with saxon blue.
Warm teal-turquoise --- the specific color of the Gulf of Mexico off Tampa, Florida. Clear, shallow, sun-warmed water. Not the deep navy of open ocean, not green, but the warm teal that sits exactly between them. Naturally dyed with Saxon Blue (indigo sulfonate) from Botanical Colors. Part of our Waters Collection --- the bodies of water that shaped this family. Gulf is Sara\'s color: she grew up in Tampa, and this is her warm-water home.
Dye note: Saxon Blue produces a clean warm teal-turquoise. Reads slightly more golden on silk and camel, slightly deeper on linen. This is a tonal colorway --- each skein moves through variations within the color range as the natural dye responds to each fiber. Colors may vary from images online. Pre-wash in cold water by hand before use, as natural dyes may release excess color during the first several washes. Lay flat to dry out of direct sunlight.
