Sunset Fingering Weight – Fireside. Muted peach — the soft color of sunset clouds, of evening sky when day fades to dusk, of gentle warmth without brightness. Not bright peach, not pink, but the particular muted peach-orange of twilight. Soft, romantic, with the quiet warmth of embers settling into evening glow.
Naturally dyed with madder exhaust bath combined with light annatto from Maiwa/Botanical Colors. Madder exhaust provides the muted base; light annatto adds the peach quality without brightness. Exhaust bath creates the soft, complex tone that fresh dyes cannot give. Part of our Fireside collection.
Dye note: Exhaust bath combination: madder exhaust for muted complexity, light annatto for peach tone. Less intense than fresh dye baths, creating the characteristic soft sunset color. Good lightfastness from both components. Efficient use of exhaust dye materials.
This is a tonal colorway — each skein moves through natural variations within the color range as the dye responds to each fiber. Colors may vary from images online. Pre-wash in cold water by hand before use, as natural dyes may release excess color during the first several washes. Lay flat to dry out of direct sunlight.
