Inspired by the mudpuppy, which spends its whole life underwater, tucked beneath the flat stones of cold Appalachian rivers.
A deep, settled wine that reads almost black in low light and opens to rich burgundy where it catches the surface. A springy 4-ply worsted for a cabled hat and cowl or a heavy pullover in knitting, or a crocheted blanket or chunky scarf in a dark, moody color.

Care
Hand wash cold, lay flat to dry. All of our colorways are tonal – with shifts in color from light to dark as part of the natural dyeing process. Colors and tones may vary from the images online. Pre-wash in cold water – by hand – before use, as natural dyes may release excess color during the first several washes.
