Description

Forest Canopy Fingering Weight – River Gorge Collection

This collection is filled with deep forest greens, light moss, & variegated greens with hints of cream— like the view looking at the mountains of the New River Gorge region.  If you haven’t come to the New River Gorge National Park yet, you’re missing out on the beautiful mixed hardwood canopy seen from the overlooks—layers of green with brown bark creating depth and movement. This is working forest green, not decorative garden green. The color of trees that were logged bare in the early 1900s and grew back stronger.

Dye Sources: Weld, Marigold, Saxon Blue & Indigo overdyes, black walnut, hardwood barks

This is a tonal colorway – each skein shifts through warm tonal variations from deep green to soft mint, as this blended color reveals its range across the fibers. Available in several fiber types, in three intensities – Dark, Medium, Light, Variegated & Ombre.
