Description
Straw Worsted Weight – Fireside. Cool pale yellow-tan — the color of wheat straw, of dried corn silk, of grain stalks after harvest. The coolest and palest color in the collection, with just enough yellow to read as warm rather than gray. Not cream, not beige, but the specific cool pale color of bleached straw.
Naturally dyed with very light weld exhaust bath from farm-grown marigold. Uses the final, lightest dye from Marigold after multiple stronger batches. The coolest and palest result weld can give while still reading as color rather than neutral. Part of our Fireside collection.
This is a tonal colorway — each skein moves through natural variations within the color range as the dye responds to each fiber. Colors may vary from images online. Pre-wash in cold water by hand before use, as natural dyes may release excess color during the first several washes. Lay flat to dry out of direct sunlight.
Dye source: Marigold exhaust, light bath — farm-grown
