Myrobalan is a tannin-rich dye from the dried fruit of a mountain tree — used across centuries as both a mordant base and a color in its own right. On Belgian linen it settles into warm gold. Run through an iron bath afterward, the yellow drops away and green comes forward: muted, slightly olive, the green of moving water in shadow.
The Ruby-throated Hummingbird’s wings are iridescent — not one color but many, shifting with angle and light. This green does the same: warmer and more yellow-green in direct sun, cooler and olive in shade. Small batch, Beltane 2026.

Care
Hand wash cold, lay flat to dry. All of our colorways are tonal – with shifts in color from light to dark as part of the natural dyeing process. Colors and tones may vary from the images online. Pre-wash in cold water – by hand – before use, as natural dyes may release excess color during the first several washes.
